TreeVitalize welcomes painting the silver screen green with The Lorax
As the Dr. Seuss classic children’s tale The Lorax opens in theaters this Friday, March 2, Pennsylvania’s TreeVitalize program is reminding those interested in heeding the movie’s advice to plant more trees. Sponsored through a partnership between the U.S. Forest Service and the Ad Council, the movie is a 3-D, fully animated version of Theodor Seuss Geisel’s 1971 book about a squat, bushy-faced creature who tells a passerby about the demise of the once-plentiful “Truffula” trees.
TreeVitalize is expecting there to be an uptick in interest in trees, and is encouraging Pennsylvanians to take advantage of their “Tree Count, PA!” program. Coupons for $15 off a tree (over $50) purchased at a participating Southcentral Pennsylvania nursery can be printed out here.
For those looking to learn more about how to care for trees, TreeVitalize encouarges participation in one of the upcoming TreeVitalize Tree Tenders® trainings. Check out the TreeVitalize Events calendar a the bottom of their home page for upcoming Tree TAsender training locations.
