Hidden Valley Resort, a four season resort located in the Laurel Mountains, offers the visitor a full service resort, with skiing, tubing, cross country, hiking, biking, golf, and resort facilities all year round. Not as big or steep as 7 Springs, this is a great intermediate hill and wonderful community. MARKET REPORT
Buncher Group continues to invest in massive infrastructure and resort upgrades. We still rate this resort as a BUYERS MARKET until current inventory is sold. Nothing beats having new owners with $$$ deep pockets. A drive through the resort indicates serious renovations have been completed. Nearly every major building has been roofed, paint, carpet and update for the lodge, roads paved, and the fitness facility is open full time. A recent trip and ski day confirms the extensive renovation and services. When Abe dropped me off for a ski day first to meet me was a uniformed employee asking me if I needed help with my skis. Going into the lodge, fresh paint, carpet, clean bathrooms, and people cleaning and getting ready for the day. What a change from the old days. Resort plans show that they are opening new trails, adding a village at the lodge base, adding retail aspects to the resort and MORE and MORE and MORE. NEW CONSTRUCTION
Current new construction consists of 3 and 4 BR condominiums and single family residences with garages. There are also lots available for building. Construction can be either stick, stone, or log home construction, and be by the builder of your choice. We have developed alliances with the top builders in this area and can refer you to them. Hidden Valley has over 1700 homes in a multitude of communities. At this time there is a small amount of new construction and a good selection of resale inventory.
Seven Springs higher prices have moved buyers into this resort and have caused some price appreciation in this community. This is still a buyer’s market, with many 2 and 3 BR town homes going in the $120K to $180K range.
Because of the amount of communities and homes, new vs. resale inventory, and multitude of floor plans we will not try to describe every community and house here.
